Cable TV Advertising Can Be A Low Cost Ad Solution

Looking for a great cheap way to get the word out about your business? Using the newspaper can be an effective means of advertisement but it will only go so far. Have you considered Cable TV advertising? Studies show that 99% of American homes have at least one TV. Television advertisement has proven time and time again to be one of the most effective means of advertisement. While network television advertising doesn't come cheap, cable TV advertising can. A single network television ad shown during prime time can cost up to 30 times more than a radio advertisement that is heard during rush hour. Cable television ads are significantly cheaper than that.

The great thing about Cable TV advertising is it can reach millions of people frequently. Even if the ad itself costs a lot less than network television advertising it can be pricey to produce. In a small town it may only cost $5-$10 to buy an ad to run on VH1 whereas if you were to buy a spot on network television it could cost in the thousands. You can target your audience by channel, as well. Another advantage to using cable TV advertising is the fact that you can choose specific times you want your commercial to air. If you own a guitar shop you can choose to air your commercials during a show like Rock of Love on VH1.

There is a drawback to using Cable TV. Your commercial has to be produced by someone before it ever hits the airwaves, and production isn't cheap. It is guaranteed to cost a lot more than placing your ad in the newspaper or recording an ad for the radio. You can find some advertising professionals to help you produce your commercial, and you can find some reasonably priced ones. You are going to have to do your research. Prices of production depend on where you live, as well. Some cable companies will offer to produce commercials for less than advertising agencies, so be sure to explore your options before you decide. The cable company may not want to make the commercial to the standard you want.

Before you jump into all of this you need a game plan. You can't just blindly produce a commercial and slap it on TV and expect to become rich overnight. Sit down for a while before making a decision and map out all the details. Know what you want to say and what imagery you want to use. Know what you want to be said about your business. Be sure you have things your way. If you can't have things the way you want them then don't do it. After all, this is you business and you will be the one losing out if things don't go the right way. If you can't afford the commercial you want simply wait until you can. You will be happier with the results if you do everything like you want.

Cable TV can be a very reasonable resource for getting the word out about your business. Make sure to do your research. Don't do anything on a whim and have every detail planned out. If you do everything correctly you can expect your commercial to bring about more attention for your business which could equal success.
